Subscriptions:
Your subscriptions are now due. These are unchanged at £15 for full membership, and £21 for family membership. If you want to pay your BCA insurance premium (£18 for active members, and £6 for non-active members) in advance (they become due in January), and thereby speed up our submission to the BCA, then please do. Jon Maisey will be glad to receive your dosh.

Joint Social with the Royal Forest Of Dean Caving Club:
The traditional joint social will take place on 21 December, at the Rising Sun, Moseley Green.

Festivities will take place from 8 pm onwards.

Please bring some cake or pudding for the sweet course.

50th Anniversary:
You should be aware by now that 2006 is the club’s 50th Anniversary. To commemorate this, we intend to set up a club stand at Hidden Earth, we will issue a commemorative newsletter, and of course we will be having an Anniversary Dinner. The date and venue have not yet been set, although September seems to be both appropriate and convenient.

If any club members know of a hotel close to them that has conference facilities, would they go and find out what their rates are, so that we have a range to choose from?

And we still don’t have an anniversary t-shirt design.

March Events:
A topic for the March Social (16th) has not been decided upon. Would any of you club members like to suggest one? (Preferably not featuring steam locomotives or transport of any kind).

Likewise, a caving trip for Sunday 5 March has not been chosen. Any ideas?

SRT Training:
The next GSS training session will be on 15 November, at the Doward But he will only go and set things up if he knows there will be anyone to train. So please let him know if you want to go and dangle around on bits of knotted string.

Steve Tomalin also proposes to finish off a bolt traverse between the upper and lower entrances, on the evening of Wednesday 23 November.

The following session will be on 13 December, at the GCRG depot.

Raffle Prizes:
Jon Maisey has asked me to remind you all to keep the club raffles in mind. So if you have some interesting items (eg previous raffle prizes, unwanted Christmas presents) that you would like to donate as prizes, wrap them up (ie disguise them!) and pass the to Jon.

A Trip Down The Chelt:
Jon has proposed a trip down the Chelt (between which 2 points hasn’t yet been decided). Any takers?
