Mine Exploration

GSS has several members who are very active in digging and exploring many of the old mines that can be found in the region.   There are numerous stone mines in Gloucestershire, Wiltshire and the surrounding counties (including the famous Box stonemine) and many iron mines on the doorstep in the Forest of Dean. There are of course also numerous mines over the border in Wales.
